On February 27, 2013, The Jayden DeLuca Foundation officially opened The JDF Family Resource Room in St. Luke's Chuildren's Hospital. This place was created as a place for families to go when in the hospital to get a few minutes away, research news they have just learned, contact family members with medical updates and more.
This is one of our projects that we are most proud of because it directly affects and helps families with children in the hospital. It was designed and decorated with those families in mind.

Each year before Christmas, The Jayden DeLuca Foundation partners up with St. Luke's Children's Hospital in Boise, Idaho to be a part of "Santa's Toy Box." This program gives toys to children and families that have to spend Christmas in the hospital. It has grown tremendously each year much in part to the generous donations of The Jayden DeLuca Foundation--all which come from "everyday" people looking to make a difference. It is a truly wonderful program and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
At the
heart of St. Luke's Children's Hospital is the belief that all
children should have access to the highest quality health care
services available, regardless of their condition or their family's
ability to pay. Like all children's hospitals, St. Luke's is
committed to high quality, cost-effective clinical care, advocacy
for children and families, education, and research.
Children
often have very different health care needs than adults. When they
are hospitalized, they require more intensive nursing care and
other services than adults. And when they are very sick, children
require regional centers of care that can bring together all the
specialists they need. At St. Luke's Children's
Hospital, we care for more than 50,000 children every year. More
than 140 skilled pediatricians and pediatric specialists work with
referring physicians from around
the region to provide high quality care for our young patients.
They are joined in this effort by a staff of over 400 nurses,
therapists, and a variety of other dedicated pediatric
caregivers.
St. Luke's
Children's Hospital has earned the trust and respect of thousands
of children and their families, and we honor that trust as we help
children heal. Every day our health care specialists renew their
commitment to deliver the best, most compassionate care to the
children of our region.
The Jayden DeLuca
Foundation is currently working
with The
Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. TCH
is "One of America's top hospitals for kids" as reported by U.S.
News and World Report. They pride themselves in their work with
children both in and our of the hospital room.
They have a
very well established Pediatric Cardiac Center and The Jayden
DeLuca Foundation is proud to be partnering with them. We are
currently working to help fund research projects focused on
pulmonary hypertension in children. These studies are just a small
part of the ongoing research being done at Children's and JDF is
excited about the work we are doing now and will continue to do
with The Children's Hospital in the future.
I wanted
to thank you again for your gift. The money has already gone to
good use. There was a patient from Idaho with PH that needed oxygen
on the airplane and we could not get it funded, so we used Jayden’s
fund to pay for it so the family could go home sooner. We have
recently sent in 4 different pulmonary hypertension papers to
medical journals on different aspects of PH in children and have
included an acknowledgment of the Jayden DeLuca
Foundation.
Thanks
again,

The
Children's Hospital - Denver, Colorado
Our recent donation to The Children's Hospital in Denver for $200,000.
When it
was founded in 1908 in Denver, Colorado, The Children's Hospital
set out to be a leader in providing the best healthcare outcomes
for children. That calling has consistently made us one of the top
10 children's hospitals in the nation and a place parents across
the Rocky Mountain region have come to trust. For 2008, the
America's Best Hospitals report published by U.S. News & World
Report ranked us as the 7th best hospital for kids.
Our
modern-day mission is to improve the health of children through the
provision of high-quality coordinated programs of patient care,
education, research and advocacy.
In addition
to providing the best possible care for kids who need it, we also
work hard to keep kids out of the hospital. Through medical
research and advocacy efforts, we are working towards a world where
kids are safer and healthier and will one day have less need for a
hospital.
